Affirmation of Faith

Affirmation of Faith

  1. We believe in the written and inherent inspiration of the bible which is written without error by Holy Men of God under God’s inspiration. (John 1:1–3)  (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
  2. We believe in total deliverance from the bondage of sin regarding salvation. Once a man is saved and filled with the Holy Ghost, he is a new creation and awarded a new life in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior! We believe that God has called us to live a life departed from sin. We believe that the Word of God is able to keep us from falling through the full obedience of God’s Word. (Matthew 1:21) (Romans 6:1–2) (2 Corinthians 5:17) (1 John 3:1–10) (Jude 1: 24-25)
  3. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised physically from the dead; and that He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the intercessor. That you can be kept by the power of the Holy Ghost from sin and God has given us this power with intelligence to make the right decisions and choices throughout life(Matthew 1:18-20) (Mark 16: 19-20) (John 3:16-21) (Acts 1: 7-9) (Acts 8: 33-34)
  4. We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins. We believe that when God forgives us of our sins, he will then cast our sins into the depths of the sea. (Micah 7: 18-19) (Romans 3:23-25)
  5. We believe in the gift of the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart and repentance. We believe in speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial physical evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. We believe in the gift of tongues, and also the gift of the unknown tongue, which edifies that individual and speaks mysteries in the spirit to God.  (Acts 10:44-47)  (Acts 19:1-6)  (1 Corinthians 14:1-4)
  6.  We believe in water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the father, and the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, in Jesus name. We believe there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. We believe there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. (Matthew 28:19-20) (1 John 5: 7-8)
  7. We believe that divine healing is provided for all by faith. We believe that if there is any sick among you, let them call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. We believe in confession and praying for each other that we may be healed. (James 5:14-16)
  8. We believe in the Lord’s Supper utilizing fruit of the vine (unfermented grape juice) and unleavened bread. We believe as often as we do this, it shows forth remembrance of our Lord’s death and resurrection, until he comes(Matthew 26:26-29)  (1 Corinthians 11:24-26)
